Jonathan "Jon" Edward Yorgason

Jonathan Edward Yorgason passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020, in a motorcycle accident while traveling to gather with his family for the Fourth of July weekend in McCall, Idaho. Jon was born in Boise, Idaho on August 6, 1971, the third son and third child of Ramon and Marilyn Yorgason. He grew up in Boise and graduated from Centennial High School in 1989, where he lettered in football, basketball and track. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Tennessee Nashville Mission and graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Construction Management. Jon later received a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Northwest Nazarene University. Jon married his dear wife Kamille Davis in the Boise Idaho Temple on October 1, 1999. They are the parents of five children: one daughter (Abigail) and four sons (Gabriel, Joshua, Noah and Elijah). Anyone who knew Jon, even for a brief moment, instantly loved him. He was tough on the outside with a tender heart on the inside. He was so easy to talk to, willing to do anything for anyone and never expected anything in return. He made you feel good just being around him. He always had a story to tell. He was patient, humble, a problem solver, the hardest worker you would ever meet, an award-winning home builder, a leader in his church and his community, and was always looking for fun and adventurous things to do. He was an Eagle Scout, loved boating, shooting guns, Spartan races, BYU football, flying his drone, teaching his kids about hard work and having fun. He was incredibly proud to be an American and he loved this great country. He had a deep belief in and love of Jesus Christ and lived his life in a way that modeled our Savior. Jon was serving as a counselor in the bishopric of the Middleton Twelfth Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jon is a former board member of the Building Contractor's Association of Southwestern Idaho and was most recently the Construction Manager for Boise Building Company. Of all the things Jon built in his lifetime, the thing he was most proud of was his family. He loved his wife and kids with all his heart and it showed in everything he did. He made time for them no matter what he had going on. Jon taught his children his hobbies and included them in whenever he could. He was so proud of and had a unique and special relationship with each of them. Family was everything to him. Jon will forever be missed. The amount of sorrow we feel is a testament of how much we love him. We are so grateful to know where he is and that our Heavenly Father has provided a way that we can be reunited with him again. Jon is survived by his wife Kami; his children: Abi, Gabe, Josh, Noah and Eli; his parents Ramon and Marilyn Yorgason; his siblings: David (Lucy) Yorgason, Christopher (Annette) Yorgason, Rebecca (Jacob) Brown, Matthew Yorgason, Martha (Ryan) Grace, Deborah (Greg) Barton, and Andrew (Kelli) Yorgason; and many other in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends who loved him dearly. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2020, at the Middleton Stake Center, located at 23644 Old Highway 30, Caldwell. Because of COVID-19, the funeral will be broadcast for those who are unable to attend. Broadcast details will be provided. A viewing will be held at The Church from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2020. Jon will be interred at the Cloverdale Cemetery at 12:00 noon.
