Marlene W. Jensen, 78, of Nampa, died Friday, December 5, 2014 of natural causes. She was born in Wapello, Idaho to Wayne and Viola (Hanson) Wadsworth where she lived until moving to Nampa when she was in high school. At Nampa High, she met her husband of 60 years, LaMont Jensen, and they married in November of 1954. After their three children, LaMar, Steve and Shirley were born, they moved to Boise and lived there for over 40 years before moving back to Nampa. Marlene worked as a clothes sorter for the Salvation Army for many years, but her talent for crafts was born when she created "Granny's Critters", furry long-armed puppets that she sold at craft fairs. From there she crafted many other creations, including her basket music boxes that she and LaMont traveled to shows to sell. She loved to cook and had every kitchen gadget she could find. Marlene is survived by her husband LaMont, children: LaMar (Yunhui) Jensen of Puyallup, WA, Steve Jensen of Boise, Shirley (Doug) Osborn of Boise, and eight granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a sister, and her grandsons, Spencer and Chandler Osborn. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 12 at the Middleton 7th Ward LDS Chapel, 309 E. Main St. in Middleton. Arrangements are being provided by Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa. 467-7300.Service: Friday, December 12, 201411:00 a.m.Middleton 7th Ward LDS Chapel309 E. Main StreetMiddleton, Idaho
