Becky Sue Newton

Becky Wolfley Newton may have been opinionated and stubborn at times, but her heart was full of love for her family and friends. Becky was born on May 28, 1967 in Rupert, Idaho, the first of four children, to Louis Delwin and Kathleen Larsen Wolfley. She grew up globetrotting with her parents and family. Her father Louis Delwin Wolfley was in the Army and was stationed all over the world. Our first military base was Ft. Carson in Colorado Springs (74-77), dad was then transferred to Hanau West Germany (77-80). We then moved to Ft. Knox Kentucky (80-83) and back to Hanau (83-86), where Becky graduated from Hanau American High School. Becky left Germany in 1985 to attend Rick's College in Rexburg, Idaho. She graduated from Rick's and joined the family who were then living in Preston, Idaho. She met Steve Powell and they were married in the Logan Utah LDS Temple and lived in Preston Idaho where she worked. They later decided to move to Pocatello to continue their education at ISU. After they finished at ISU they found employment in the Boise, Idaho area. It was here that Becky found real joy, in the birth of her two beautiful children, Xavier Powell in 1994 and Harlie Powell in 1995. This marriage ended in divorce and a few years later Becky married Kevin Newton. Becky worked in the CNA/CMA field for most of her adult life and was currently working for Genesis Healthcare in Meridian. Becky was preceded in death by her mother Kathleen Larsen Wolfley, and her grandparents. She is survived by her husband Kevin Newton; her children Xavier Powell and Harlie Powell; her brothers Lee (Kerrie) Wolfley and William (Janna) Wolfley; sister Heidi (Brad) Croshaw; and multiple nephews and nieces. Becky had many friends and will be missed by all.
