Jose Luis Estrada passed away December 2, 2022 in Nampa, Idaho at the age of 56. He was bornFebruary 5, 1966 in Michoacan, Mexico to Santiago and Maria Lopez Estrada. Jose was the second child,oldest son, of seven children.Jose spent his growing up years in Michoacan, Mexico where he attended Escuela Miguel Hildalgo forschool. He loved playing soccer and spending time with his cousin, Roberto. He adored being an olderbrother and loved to care for his younger siblings. He loved his mother dearly and his father was hissuperhero.In January 1985 while working in strawberry packaging factory he met his wife, Baudelina Zamudio. Heproposed shortly after on February 14 of that year. They were married on January 6, 1990. Next monthwould have been their 33 wedding anniversary. One of Lina's favorite memories of him is that no matterwhat; he never forgot an anniversary. Through the good and bad they loved each other fiercely and theirtrust and faith in each other never wavered no matter the obstical. Shortly after marrying they decidedto leave all they knew behind to give their kids better opportunities and most importantly; The AmericanDream.On May 25, 1991 they moved to Pacoima, California where Jose was able to get his CDL and beganworking as a truck driver. Jose got to visit every corner of California and soon enough knew the state likeback of his hand. He enjoyed bringing Lina and Pepe along every chance he got. As a family, they madecountless trips to Disneyland and the San Diego Zoo, when their Pepe was a child. They then latermoved to Nampa, Idaho on July 4, 1995. He continued his job as a trucker and began delivering forDryers Ice Cream and after a few years began a career in framing. Jose loved spending time with hisfamily. He adored taking his wife and his two kids, Pepe and Lupita, camping and fishing every weekend.Cascade and Lucky Peak were a couple of his favorite places to take them.Jose had several occupations throughout his life: working at a strawberry factory, being a meat packer,truck driver, framer, matenence worker and lastly as a cook. No matter what job or position he was in; hegave it his all and loved to learn all there was to know about his position so he could execute his jobflawlessly. He was the definition of hard work and dedication. Jose was glad he was able to work alongside Pepe at Sears and with Lupita at Jalapenos. His kids will always cherish the memory of learning fromhim and working beside him. Most importantly; they are grateful for the strong example he set for them.His latest job was working at Legacy Fuel and Feed making burritos. He was named "Burrito King" for hissales and even won a trophy for his exceptional work. He loved his job and the people loved him! Hewas a quiet man but made a burrito with a loud reputation for being the best.Jose was a devoted Catholic. Even when he was unable to drive; he would walk to Church. It didn'tmatter if it was raining or a hot sunny day; he was at Church every Sunday and sat in the front row. Josewas a Godly man in his character. He showed kindness, thoughtfulness, patience, was forgiving and wasdevoted to family. The last couple years of his life he struggled with depression. Church and in theSavior is where he found peace, happiness and relief.Jose was hardworking, kind and wise. He will be missed.Jose is survived by his wife, Baudelina; his parents, Santiago and Maria; his children, Jose (Brenda) andKarla (Manuel); and six grandchildren.Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at St. Pauls Catholic Church locatedat 510 W. Roosevelt Ave. in Nampa. Burial will immediately follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery located onthe corner of Greenhurst and S. Powerline Road in Nampa.Family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, December 13, at Zeyer Funeral Chapel located at 83 N. Midland Blvd in Nampa.
