On October 12, 2019, Jeff Sanderson, passed away at the age of 53 in his apartment with his beloved dog Holly by his side. Jeff had a passion for dogs especially Pitbulls. He was known for some time as "Hamburger Jeff" due to his volunteer work at the Idaho Humane Society. He would take dogs, mostly Pitbulls, out for a ride and a hamburger. This helped the dogs have some freedom from the shelter, wind in their face and a special treat. This is something Jeff truly loved to do and was some of his best times and memories. He found a true peace in spending time at the shelter and with the animals. The family will not be a holding a formal service for Jeff. His ashes will be laid to rest in a niche' at the Meridian Cemetery by the middle of November. What the family is asking for in honor of Jeff's memory and his love for dogs, is that if you knew him or knew of "Hamburger Jeff" to make a donation to the Idaho Humane Society in his name. There will be a Jeff Sanderson Memorial fund set up there for him. The donations will most likely be used to help public dogs with medical needs as the Humane Society had helped Jeff's dogs before with medical needs and emergencies. Rest in peace, Jeff. You were loved!!!
