After an eight-month battle with a cancerous brain tumor, Jeffrey Michael Langan passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at home on November 21, 2016. He was 51. Jeffrey was born in Omaha, Nebraska on February 26, 1965. He was raised by his mother, a retired Nonprofit Executive Director for Aging Programs, and his father, a retired guidance counselor and government executive. He lived in five different states by the age of five. Jeff's family grew to include brothers Jerry, John and Joe, and in 1971, they all finally settled in Caldwell, Idaho. Jeffrey graduated from Caldwell High School in 1983. It was at Caldwell High that Jeff, in his sophomore year, met Sonja Van Sickle. Nine years later, Jeffrey confessed his long-time crush on Sonja and they began to date. However, Sonja encouraged Jeff to grow-up and examine his life goals. Twelve years later, Jeff and Sonja's friendship developed into a serious courtship that lead to marriage blessed by God. Jeffrey and Sonja were married at sunset in Puerto Penasco, Mexico in 2004. In 1993, Jeff's was the recipient of the Associated General Contractors of America National Scholarship. With this scholarship, Jeffrey continued to attend and graduated from Boise State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management and a Minor in Business. While at Boise State, he met his business partner, Robert Feldmann. This amazing duo started building projects together and developed CSDI Construction Incorporated into one of the most successful Construction Management Companies in the area. His construction business was an exciting part of Jeffrey's life, where he thrived and loved going to work every day. Some of his proud business achievements included numerous restaurants, apartments & retail projects such as Louie's Pizza, Matador, CW Moore Plaza, Morrison Park Apartments and countless others. Jeffrey's life revolved around his "lovely wife" and their "fur babies" - Brody and Juice, drag racing (aka the other wife), NHRA races in Seattle and NASCAR. Jeffrey also enjoyed camping and considered both drag racing and camping out at Firebird for the weekend a huge double bonus. Jeffrey was not only an avid racing fan; he was also a successful drag racer. His many wins brought him much joy. His favorite saying to his family after a win was, "Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner"! Fall was his favorite time of the year as it included tailgating with family and friends at the BSU football games and cheering the Broncos on to the point of losing his voice! He was always proud to be a BSU alumni. Jeff was a considerate, loving husband and tried to balance racing with travel that would allow his wife to keep up her love for photography. Their many adventures together throughout the United States, the Caribbean and Europe are preserved by Sonja's photos - with Jeffrey as the center of attention. Jeffrey is survived by wife Sonja; his parents Margaret and Gerald Langan of Caldwell; his brothers and their spouses Jerry (Nick Crivelli) of Arlington, Virginia; John (Ann) of Ridgecrest, California; and Joe (Melissa) of Caldwell, as well as several nieces and nephews. Jeffrey's love for life, friendship, sense of humor and his infectious laughter will be missed. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 3, at 11a.m. at the Grace Bible Church, 1415 Lone Star Rd, Nampa, followed by a graveside service on Monday, December 5, at 10 a.m. at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, 76 6th Street North, Nampa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The National Brain Tumor Society in Jeff's honor.
