Jo Anna Dibben passed from this life on July 9, 2017 with her family and best friend at her side. Jo Anna was born February 23, 1964 to Josephine Ann Bieth and Bob Garris in Tulare, California. She grew up in Anderson and Redding California, graduating from Anderson High School. She always had a love for others and continued her education, graduating with her Licensed Practical Nursing degree in the late 80's. Being a Nurse and caring for others exemplified who Jo Anna was. She started her nursing career in California at Saint Agnes Medical Center, later moving to Idaho where she worked for Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center until her passing. This is where she met her Best Friend Brandi Surber, most of the time you did not see one without the other. In December 1999 she was asked if she would like to go to a Christmas party with this single dad of 3 children. She paused for a second but finally agreed. That single dad was Abe Lincoln Dibben Sr. On August 23, 2000 Abe asked Jo Anna to marry him at the Idaho State Fair (one of Jo Anna's favorite places to go). Of course she said yes. They were married December 9, 2000. Not only did she marry Abe but she became "mom" to his three children Kristina, Abe and William. Nothing made her happier than her family. Abe and Jo Anna were later sealed in the Boise Idaho LDS Temple for time and eternity on August 9, 2008. Jo Anna had a great love for animals. Over the years she has had cows, goats, chickens, many dogs and cats. She loves the great outdoors camping with her family. Vacationing with family and friends brought her great joy. She loved traveling to Hawaii so much that she has been there 3 times. When she was not vacationing or camping she was telling stories or jokes always making others laugh and smile. She loved going to the movies and out to eat with her friends, but over the last years her real joy came when she could spend time doing just about anything with her loving Husband Abe. Jo Anna begrudgingly learned to quilt so that she could make her boys a quilt when they graduated from high school (they were beautiful). Over the last year she learned how to Facebook and always responded to everyone's post. Jo Anna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the nursery, primary and as an activity leader with the relief society. She and Abe were able to send their son William on a 2 year mission. She was so proud of him for serving a mission. She was preceded in death by her father Bob Garris. Jo Anna is survived by the love of her life Abe Lincoln Dibben Sr.; their three children: Kristina M. Dibben, Abe L. Dibben Jr. and William R. Dibben; her mother Josephine A. Vonbusch; her brother Bobbie; sisters: Kathy, Cindy Lou, and Shawna. Jo Anna will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews. She had many additional family and friends that have been impacted by her life and in her passing. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 22 at the Parma First Ward LDS Chapel, 307 E. Andrews in Parma. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 21 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd in Nampa (208-467-7300) and again at the church from 9 to 9:45 a.m. prior to the services. Her Burial will take place at the Roswell Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at zeyerfuneralchapel.com. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to an animal shelter of your choice in Jo Anna's name.
