Janet McDonald

Janet Lee McDonald of Nampa Idaho, age 52, passed away on March 26, 2015 at 1:30 a.m. in the comfort of her home from Ovarian cancer. She is survived by her husband Michael McDonald; her mother Bernice Richards; her three sons & their spouses: Christopher and Amber McDonald, Brian and Rose McDonald, and Rodney and Barbara McDonald; her siblings: Terry DeVries, Dawn Hemphill, Derick Hemphill, and Dustin Hemphill: her grandchildren Lindsey, Skyler, Memphis, London, Dallas McDonald and many more adopted children and grandchildren because that was just her way of spreading her love. She was born on December 31, 1962 in Olympia, Washington to Denis and Bernice Hemphill. She was their second child of five. She met Michael in 1979 and married him on August 15, 1988 in Silverton, OR, at Silver Creek Falls. They had three children together, Christopher Michael of Nampa ID, Brian Mathew of Caldwell ID, and Rodney Marcus of Middleton ID. She spent the majority of her life living in Oregon and Washington but spent the last 11 years in Nampa where she was able to live her clean and serine life. She was always know as a very up-beat, friendly, active woman with a great attitude who loved camping, fishing, music, to live her life to the fullest, the Narcotics Anonymous program, her boys, and grand kids, her family, her dogs, the beach, sunflowers, and photography. Her family and friends will always remember her as a person who knew no stranger and was willing to give the shirt off her back or the food out of her cupboards to help someone in need. A Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4 at the Fox Valley Cemetery, 449 Fifth Street in Lyons, Oregon. Please come celebrate Janet's life with us and join us for a small pot luck dinner at 364 Seventh St in Lyons, Or 97358 we ask that there be no alcohol be consumed. She was such a colorful person with a fun filled attitude we are asking that you wear bright and vibrant colors. We would all, especially Mike, like to thank you for your support and love in this trying time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Janet's honor to the MISTi center who helped her fight this horrible horrible disease at 308 E. Hawaii, Nampa, ID 83686.
