Melba Idaho Danny passed away on December 16, 2017 surrounded by family and friends. He lost his fight to cancer and is now at peace. Danny was born December 13, 1962 to Raymond and Lola Stansbury Montgomery. He was raised in Melba and attended grades 1 through 12 at the Melba schools On September 12, 1982 Dan married Lisa Blankenship. From this union came Brandi and Danielle. Dan and Lisa later divorced. Dan also has a son Jeremy. For most of Dan's life he worked outside, farming, construction and excavation jobs. He could operate or repair any type of farm or excavating equipment. He loved collecting antiques of any kind, tins, radios, signs, pictures and many other things. His favorite hobby was shooting trap. He participated in the Melba Gun Club for many years and was an expert shot. He spent many hours working in the yard at his home. Danny was preceded in death by two brothers, Vern and Terry Montgomery; grandfathers Art Montgomery and Howard Stansbury; grandmothers Lucille Carver and Inez Caves. He is survived by his father Ray; mother Lola; daughters Brandi (Evan) Powers, Danielle (Michael) Stanley; son Jeremy (Ryia) Rushing; grandchildren Lexi and Beckett; sisters Tina (Michael) Taylor and Candy (Norm) Byrne; niece Kami Taylor; nephews: Dustyn Deakins, Aaron Deakins, Adam Hagaman, and Jake Byrne. Danny, there is no need to fight any longer. You held on long enough to walk your beautiful daughter down the aisle of her wedding. You fought hard, so rest now. We will be lost without you, Brother. You will always be near to us because we hold your memories close to our heart. Every time the tears start to roll, I realize you're in a better place and no longer in pain. We are so thankful for every minute we spent with you. Love you always. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the cancer society, or your favorite charity in Danny's name. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 23,at the Tower Theater, 321 Carrie Rex Avenue in Melba.
