Brent J. Barfuss, age 59, of Middleton, Idaho, passed away Monday morning, August 16, 2021. Brent was the sixth of eight children; born to Raymond Barfuss and Ruby Irene Crossley Barfuss in Boise, Idaho on March 31, 1962. Brent achieved the Eagle Scout rank from the Boys Scouts of America on February 24, 1977. He graduated from Meridian High School in 1980. Shortly after high school, Brent ventured out state-to-state in what began his lifelong profession in construction. In 1986, Brent became a father to Kyle Barfuss. , Brent met the love of his life, Alisa Ann Turner Barfuss, on the third Thursday of August 1990 in Alabama. They were married at the Georgetown courthouse on July 26, 1991 where Alisa's son Adam Benjamin Sellars bore witness to the marriage and they began their life as a family. Brent returned to Idaho where the family grew and he became a father to two more sons, Tyler and Bradly. Brent was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in various capacities, including church security, Primary teacher, Scout leader and minister. He was highly-praised as a Scout leader, considered to be the best Primary teacher and brought families closer to Christ through his ministering efforts. Brent was skilled in many trades: carpentry, concrete, rebar, rigging, and electrical. He received many certifications in industrial general construction. Brent managed his own framing company, BLB Construction, for a prosperous 20 years. The acronym stood for Brent Lisa Barfuss. Brent is known for his dedication in completing projects on time and under budget. Brent loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband and father; he was humble, helpful, kind, and a great listener. He had a booming laugh that lit up the room. Brent is survived by his wife, Alisa Ann Barfuss, and their four sons, Kyle (Raesha) Barfuss, Adam (Maggie) Sellars Barfuss, Tyler Barfuss, and Bradly Barfuss; by his siblings, Steve (Rosie) Barfuss, Susan (Ross) Miller, Chris Barfuss, Connie Waters, Bruce (Kelly) Barfuss, Keith Barfuss; by one grandchild, Brandon James Barfuss; and by many nieces and nephews. Brent is preceded by his parents, Raymond and Ruby Irene Barfuss, his sister, Kari Barfuss, and brother-in-law, Larry Waters. The funeral service will be at held at Zeyer Funeral Chapel located at 83 N. Midland Blvd. in Nampa, Idaho on August 21 at 10am. A memory box will be available for friends and family to record memories for Brent's family to cherish.
