Beth Christine "Kris" Roberts

Beth Christine "Kris" Naramore Roberts, 56, of Nampa passed Monday, January 21, 2019. Kris was born March 21, 1962 in Caldwell, Idaho to Samuel Howard and Deanna Kay Miller Naramore, the second of three children. She loved staying at Aunt Sheryl and Aunt Sandy's house. Kris grew up in Nampa and graduated from High School in Mountain Home. She attended Boise State University with a degree in developmental therapy and was certified in health care. She was a coach for the Idaho Nampa Express special Olympic team for 25 years. She also enjoyed farming, fishing, snowmobiling and drag racing. She loved to have the missionaries come and hang out and to feed them. She married Rodney K. Roberts in 1984 in Middleton, Idaho and they were the parents of four children. It was said that she loved her kids but loved her grandkids more because they would walk to Jackson's to get her a refill. Kris was one of the strongest people you would ever meet and she never gave up....it was said that she was full of vinegar, with a heart of gold. Kris is survived by her husband of 35 years; her children: Joshua (Chelsea) Roberts, Jessica (Danny) Mercado, Calli (Justin) Axtell, step-daughter Veronica Roberts and ex-daughter-in-law Jessica Justice; 13 grandchildren; and her parents Samuel (Sally) Naramore and Deanna (Calvin) Himes; siblings: Sam W. Naramore, JoAnn Lacey, step-sisters Maggie Clinton and Beverly Himes. She was preceded in death by her grandma and grandpa Miller; father-in-law Kenny Roberts, "uncle Donnie" and cousin Sandy Bowen; a grandson Ryan Mercado; and Jake the dog. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 28 at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery. A Celebration of Life and Potluck will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, January 27, at the Nampa Elks Lodge, 1116 1st St. S. in Nampa.
